De mørke vintermåneder er et helt fantastisk tidspunkt at komme, hvis du for alvor vil opleve Slettestrand i både Storm & Stilhed. Det barske vintervejr ved Vestkysten har for længe siden fjernet al spor af sommerturisterne, og stilheden står nu i stærk kontrast med det stormende Vesterhav.

Tilbage er den rå Vestkystnatur og de få mennesker, for hvem det er gået op for, at vinteren byder på lige så mange fantastiske naturoplevelser, som de øvrige årstider.

Time for relaxation and renewal

Here at the resort, we use the quiet winter months for maintenance, improvements, product development and preparations for a new season. We are open for the rental of self-catering apartments and houses.

Your accommodation offers a fully equipped kitchen, heating and good WiFi – so you can do your work from here too. A linen package with bed linen and towels can be rented by arrangement.

In Havbadehuset you can enjoy the warmth of the beautiful hot water pool and sauna with views over the dunes towards the beach and the North Sea. You also have free access to the large outdoor playground, activity yard with fire pit and more, as well as the gym and indoor table tennis.

You can rent a mountain bike and take a ride on the great trails in Svinkløv Plantage. If you would like a guided tour (by bike or on foot) or an MTB technique course, this is also possible – as long as our guides and instructors are not booked elsewhere.

Of course, nature is always open and remember: with the right clothing, there is no such thing as “the wrong weather”…

Christmas and New Year stay in Slettestrand

Skal julen og/eller nytår fejres i Slettestrand? Vores Vinterhi priser gælder også i hele juleferien, så det er en super mulighed, hvis du søger et billigt og uhøjtideligt jule- eller nytårsophold.

Her kan dig og familien sætte farten ned og bare nyde naturen og samværet. Ønsker I ikke selv at stå med madlavningen til “de store dage”, kan vi varmt anbefale vores gode naboer i Tranum, “Vestvendt”, der tilbyder både jule- og nytårsmenuer som lækker takeaway.

Worth knowing about Winter hibernation

  • Winter hibernation can be booked from early December to mid-February
  • The bathhouse will be open for much of the winter with reduced opening hours. Expect a 2-3 week closure period in January for renovations.
  • Access to the gym and indoor table tennis is available throughout the period.
  • The reception is generally unmanned – but we are of course here to welcome you, and we can always be contacted during your stay.

  • The kitchen, restaurant and 1st floor of the main building are closed for the entire period.
  • Events of at least one and a half days are welcome to contact us and inquire about the possibility of joining us during the winter hibernation period.
