Terms & conditions for Feriecenter Slettestrand A/S

Prices and tax



  • All prices at Feriecenter Slettestrand are in DKK and include 25% moms (Danish value added tax)

  • Excepting certain experiences, which, based on their content and nature, are exempt from moms, according to the rules of the Danish moms act.


Payment



  • Unless otherwise agreed, an invoice for the full amount (100%) will be sent for payment prior to the stay.

  • For online bookings, the full amount (100%) including any additional purchases is due at the time of booking. Depending on the service being booked, payment can be made by payment card or MobilePay via DIBS (Danish Internet Payment Service), which is approved by PBS.4 or Stripe.


Gift cards


Our gift cards are for an amount (DKK) that can be used as a means of payment for accommodation and/or experiences at Feriecenter Slettestrand.

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the issue date and cannot be extended.

  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, but to another product of equal value that we offer.

  • Gift cards cannot be used for services offered through external partners and which we only mediate (eg. horse-drawn carriage rides, treatments, mindfulness etc.)


If you wish to use your gift card to book one or more activities, events or experiences online, please contact us at mail@slettestrand.dk with your gift card ID prior to booking. We will send you instructions on how to use your gift card.

Booking confirmation



  • When you have completed your booking, a booking confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address provided.

  • If you do not receive an e-mail with your booking confirmation, you should first check your spam or promotions folders. If it is not there, you can contact us for help.

  • Your booking confirmation contains all the details of the services you  have booked, including: dates, accommodation, catering, activities, experiences and/or mountain bike rental, as well as any special agreements.

  • It is your responsibility as the consumer to check that the contents of your booking confirmation are correct and match the service(s) you have booked. In the event that there is an error in your booking confirmation, it is your responsibility to contact us as soon as possible on tel. +45 9821 7044 or mail@slettestrand.dk.


Cancellation policy



  • For cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival, a cancellation fee of DKK 300 per unit is due.

  • For cancellations between 30 and 2 days prior to arrival, you are liable for 50% of the full amount of your stay.

  • For cancellations less than 48 hours prior to arrival, you are liable for the full amount (100%) of your stay.


Cancellation of activities, experiences and mountain bike rentals

  • For cancellations between 30 and 2 days prior to the start time, you will be liable for 50% of the price of the activity/rental.

  • For cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the start time, you will be liable for 100 % of the price of the activity/rental.

  • For insurance purchased in connection with a mountain bike rental, 100% of the insurance price can be refunded until the time of collection. After this, the insurance cannot be cancelled or refunded.


Rebooking


In some cases, it may be possible to rebook to another date or experience for an administration fee. The fee depends on the type of stay or experience and will be disclosed before rebooking.

Your holiday accommodation



  • The following items are provided in your accommodation on arrival:

    • 1 kitchen roll

    • 2 rolls of toilet paper

    • 1 dish cloth

    • 1 tea towel

    • 1 floor cloth



  • Dishwasher tabs, washing-up liquid etc. are not provided but can be purchased in reception, where it is also possible to buy additional toilet rolls etc.


Linen

  • Prices for accommodation in our holiday apartments and holiday cottages do not include bedding and towels.

    • Linen packages, consisting of bedding, one hand towel and one bath towel, can be pre-ordered or rented on site.

    • Package stays (weekend, mountain bike and mid-week getaways, conference packages, convalescence holidays etc.) always include a linen package.




Electricity

  • Electricity consumption is always included in the price of your holiday accommodation. We encourage you to consider the environment and avoid unnecessary electricity consumption during your stay. You can, for example:

    • Turn off the lights, when you leave a room.

    • Don't turn the heating up too high, and remember to turn off the heating when you air-out the accommodation.

    • Wash up by hand if you have only used a few glasses/cups.




Smoking

  • All holiday apartments and cottages are non-smoking. Smoking in the accommodation is subject to an extra cleaning fee of DKK 1.500 pr. unit. It is possible to smoke in "Fredspiben" our small pavilion which you will find in the courtyard. We encourage guests not to smoke  on the terrasse by our restaurant.


Cleaning

  • End-of-stay cleaning is carried out by Feriecenter Slettestrand, but does not include washing-up and tidying, which must be carried out by the guest before leaving the apartment.


Pets

  • Dogs and pets are welcome in most of our holiday apartments and holiday cottages, although they are not permitted up on the furniture and in the beds, or in the restaurant's buffet area.

    • A fee is charged per pet for extra cleaning.

    • In the event that there have been pets on the furniture or beds, an extra fee of DKK 1500 will be charged for further cleaning and/or new inventory, should we not be able to clean it to the necessary standard.



  • We have a few allergy-friendly apartments, where pets are not permitted. It is therefore important that you inform us at the time of booking, if you are bringing pets with you.


Assistive devices

  • We have travel cots, high chairs and many assistive devices. Everything is available free of charge. Please contact us for your needs.


Arrival and departure

  • Check-in is from 15:00, when your accommodation will be cleaned and ready.

  • Departure from the accommodation and check-out is no later than 11:00, where the key must be returned to reception and any outstanding bills settled.

  • You are welcome to arrive earlier and stay later, as the holiday centre's facilities are available for use all day on both the arrival and departure days.

  • Please inform reception in advance, if you will be arriving later than 18:00, as your accommodation may otherwise be rented out to another party.


Lost property



  • For enquiries regarding lost property, please contact reception on tel. +45 9821 7044 or mail@slettestrand.dk with a detailed description of the item and where in the holiday center, you might expect it to be found.

  • If we are able to locate the item, we will happily return it by post or courier. Place an order for a shipping label with PostnordGLS or DAO, and e-mail it to us at mail@slettestrand.dk. Once we have received the shipping label we will pack the item and hand it in for delivery.

  • Lost property is stored for 30 days, after which it will be handed in to the police. Unfortunately, we are not able to store lost property over longer periods of time.

  • The procedure for handling lost property is as follows:

    • The guest sends a shipping label by e-mail, and we will pack the lost item and send it for a DKK 50 administration fee.

    • Feriecenter Slettestrand places an order for a shipping label, packs the item and sends it with GLS or DAO for DKK 150* including shipping label and administration fee.



  • We spend a lot of time finding and returning lost property – time that could otherwise be spent serving our guests and ensuring they have a good experience during their stay in Slettestrand. We therefore strongly encourage all guests to carry out a thorough check of the holiday accommodation before departure – including all the drawers/cupboards, under the furniture and in the power sockets!

Activities, events and experiences



  • All participation in our activities and experiences is at your own risk. It is your responsibility, as the consumer, to ensure that you have a valid accident insurance that covers the activity in question.

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes in advance of the experience or activity's start time. On arrival for the experience, please ensure that you can document your booking via your ticket or booking confirmation.

  • Weather conditions: Safety and good conditions is our top priority. Occasionally, adverse weather conditions can make it impossible for us to carry out the activity. Should this happen, it will the activity leader will contact you to arrange a new date.

  • Should we need to cancel: Our activity leaders will, naturally, do everything possible to carry out the activity. However, unforeseen events can happen, eg. illness, adverse weather conditions etc. where there is no other choice but to cancel. Should this happen, you will be contacted by phone/SMS and then by e-mail. In the event that we have to cancel the experience, you will be offered a free rebooking to another date or activity of equivalent value, or a full refund of your experience. You are always welcome to contact us, if you have questions regarding a cancellation.

  • Photo and video matieral: Please be aware that photos and/or videos may be taken of participants in our activities and experiences, which we subsequently use in our marketing. Participants are welcome to share photos/videos of themselves on their own social channels, provided the photographer is credited in the post. If you wish to have a photo or video in which you appear removed from our archive, please send a copy of the photo to mail@slettestrand.dk, and we will make sure that it is not used in our future marketing.
