The food forge is a chef and nature geek's dream

Madsmedjen is part of Feriecenter Slettestrand, and is located on the farm "Den Gamle Smedje" in Hjortdal, a few minutes walk from Svinkløv dune plantation. Madsmedjen is a place for education, immersion, experiences, parties and much more, with a focus on what we call; natural gastronomy.

The food kitchen is built on the foundations of the old farm animal stable. It appears new and rustic with three different wood-fired ovens built by the best oven builders in the country. The room features raw boards, large larch logs, lambskins and rustic plank tables. Stepping into Madsmedjen, you'll find a very special atmosphere and the place is the perfect setting for cosiness, fellowship and good food.

Kresten Kronborg is the man behind Madsmedjen. He is a trained chef and former head chef at Feriecenter Slettestrand. He has worked for many years to bring the flavours of nature and the seasons into his food.
