Svinkløv Plantation

The trail in Svinkløv consists of fat, hard and challenging singletrack with lots of flow. There are several options for blue tours with red, black and green options to suit your mood.

The technical level of the more difficult sections can challenge even very experienced riders. The blue trails also offer challenges and opportunities for the creative rider, while providing a good and safe experience for less experienced riders.

Be sure to enjoy the tour, which takes you from dense forest to fantastic vantage points where you can look out over most of Jammerbugten!

Kollerup Plantation

A little further from Slettestrand – but still within cycling distance – you’ll find Kollerup Plantage.

The trail is in many ways very different from the Svinkløv trail, but it contains many of the same elements and construction techniques. It doesn’t have as difficult passages as the track in Svinkløv, but is much more of a roller coaster ride with cool, long descents, perfect turns, natural berms and lots of fun.

Raw, hand-built tracks

Most of the trails appear rustic or rough and look like footpaths, even though they are carefully designed and built by hand. This is how we locally like our trails and we think it matches the raw nature well.

Trails contain many features, but they are often pretty well integrated into the trail, so you might have to look for the take-off and landing, the good line, the support in the turn, etc. If you want help discovering new opportunities on the trail, book an appointment with one of our certified MTB instructors and guides.

Mountain bike technique courses

We do a lot to maintain and expand our tracks and trails in the area – of course in close collaboration with Slettestrand Trail Builder Laug, HUI Mountainbike and Naturstyrelsen Thy.

The trail work is run by volunteers, supported by hours from Feriecenter Slettestrand and the collaboration with the Danish Nature Agency, which approves the location and supplies some gravel when we cannot solve it in other ways. OnTrail and Nordeafonden have supplied the markings, which are set up in collaboration between Slettestrand Trail Builder Guild and Feriecenter Slettestrand.

Which way…?

Mountain bike technical track in Slettestrand

The technical course is located at our MTB camp, Den Gamle Smedje. We have built the course ourselves over a number of years with the aim of creating an intensive and fun training area where mountain bikers of all levels can be challenged and develop in record time.

Here you can practice: drops at different heights, a crosstrack with berms, north shore, stone sections of different difficulty levels, tables (jumps), gaps and a longer section with a good mix of all the above.

For families, the course is a great place to play, practice and enjoy the various challenges.

More flow, new lines… Trails have secrets, and our MTB guides know them
