Den Gamle Smedje
at Feriecenter Slettestrand

Den Gamle Smedje (The Old Forge) is a disused, fully renovated farm-complex located 1.5 km from Feriecenter Slettestrand. We also call Den Gamle Smedje our MTB camp, as it is located next to our MTB skills course, but the complex is suitable for everyone!  You can stay here if you are going on a trip with your bike club, family, company getaway or are just a large group that wants to stay together with good space and optimal common areas. It is also possible to rent the individual units if you don't need the entire space. All in all, there is accomodation for about 50 people.

Below you will find prices for renting the entire complex which includes:

The prices include a 10% "volume discount" on our usual rates for renting the units individually.

If you are interested in renting either the entire or most of the complex, then we require a minimum rental period of two nights.

Rates for this accomodation

All rates include cleaning on departure, pre-paid electricity and free access to the facilities. During the Danish school holidays (Easter, summer, autumn and February) and public holidays we operate with set arrival and departure days and rent out accommodation for a minimum number of nights, depending on the duration of the holiday. Prices are valid until the 31/12 2024. We reserve the right to change or update information and to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice.

  • Gammelsmedjen - small apartment, sleeps 2-4:

    • Mezzanine with two single beds

  • West - large two-story apartment, sleeps 8:

    • 2 bedrooms and a landing with 4 single beds

    • Open plan kitchen, dining room and living room

    • 2 bathrooms



  • East - large two-story apartment, sleeps 6-8:

    • 3 bedrooms

    • Spacious kitchen/dining room

    • Living room on 1st floor with sofa bed

    • 2 bathrooms



  • Smedjehuset - handicap-friendly holiday cottage, sleeps 12-16:

    • 6 bedrooms - two on the ground floor suitable for wheelchair users

    • Large open-plan kitchen/diner and living room with dining table and 12 chairs, sofas, arm chair and TV

    • 2 bathrooms



  • Laden - unique two-story apartment aimed at MTB clubs, sleeps 10:

    • Large industrial kitchen with dining tables and seating for up to 40 people

    • 2 bathrooms/changing rooms

    • Bike workshop

    • 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor

    • Landing with sofa group and TV on the first floor

    • Possibility of up to 10 extra mattresses
