Naturoplevelser lige udenfor døren

Hvis du ikke laver andet under din ferie i Slettestrand, så er en tur ned til stranden og Vesterhavet et must – husk at hilse på den ikoniske Krabbe mens du er der.

Vi håber du også vil bevæge dig lidt ud i skoven, enten på gåben eller på cykel. Du er altid velkommen til at spørge os for anbefalinger til gå- eller cykelruter.

Slettestrand’s fun and active experiences

Right near the holiday center you will find Slettestrand Mini Golf & Event, which is a fun and wildly enjoyable activity.

We can also recommend a trip to Slettestrand’s forest playground & outdoor fitness course, where the kids can play while the adults try out the fitness equipment.

In Tranum there are even more play experiences at Tranum Nature Playgroundwhile Jammerbugtens Fodboldgolf offers both adventure and soccer golf.

There are also good skating rinks in Tranum and Fjerritslev – check them out if you’re into that kind of thing.

If you have the time and opportunity to go further afield, we recommend the magnificent Bulbjerg, the bird paradise Vejlerneand the historic Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse.

The magnificent wonders of the West Coast

The west coast offers a wildly exciting and varied nature that just has to be experienced.

Just near Slettestrand we have Svinklovenewhich is a unique landscape with a beautiful view of the North Sea, as well as the beautiful and lush Fosdal – Ask at reception for Inger Marie’s Tranum-Fosdal walking route.

Distance: 3 km to Fosdal / 6 km to Svinklovene

Kunst & kultur

I Slettestrand kan du opleve moderne kunst i fantastiske rammer hos Galleri Lien, der ligger “lige på toppen af bakken”.

Eller lad dig inspirere af smukt håndlavet glaskunst og farverige lys hos Tranum Lys og Glas, hvor du også kan deltage i lærerige kurser og workshops.

I Han Herred Havbåde ved stranden får du et fascinerende indblik i områdets bådbygger traditioner, mens Limfjordsmuseet byder på historiske- og maritime fortællinger samt oplevelser for hele familien.

North Jutland’s biggest rides and attractions

Everyone loves Fårup Sommerland, located just half an hour’s drive from Slettestrand. Here you’ll find roller coasters, rides and activities for young and old, as well as Denmark’s largest water park. Once the entrance fee is paid, all rides and the Aqua Park are free.

For exciting and educational animal experiences, a trip to Aalborg Zoo can also be a super fun outing for the whole family.

If you’d rather explore life under the sea, the North Sea Oceanarium is a must. Here you can easily spend a whole day exploring the exciting marine life around Denmark.

Shopping and city life

Aalborg will probably be the city that first springs to mind when you read this headline. And yes, North Jutland’s largest city has plenty to offer. But …. also remember the small local towns, each with their own unique charm.

In Slettestrand, we are particularly proud of our nearest town, Fjerritslevwhich has an impressive selection of exciting specialty shops. During the summer months, the square is buzzing with markets, outdoor seating and live music – it’s so cozy.

Just south of the fjord at Aggersund is the “mussel town” Løgstør, a cozy harbor town with shops, good restaurants and its beautiful canal.

If you go north, you will find Lønstrup a charming fishing town where you can easily pass the time among the many galleries and artisans’ open workshops.

Distance: 26 km to Løgstør / 60 km to Lønstrup
