Wellness and water fun – with love for people and the planet

The swimming pool building, Havbadehuset, was created with sustainability in mind.

The entire building is fully accessible – even in the sauna – and there are two disability-friendly changing rooms with ceiling heists giving direct access to the pool.

At the time of construction, in 2018, the building was equipped with heat pumps and insulation that met the highest energy standards of the time, as well as leading water purification technology.

We use plant-based cleaning products that are 100% biodegradable and certified with the Nordic Swan and EU ecolabels.

Good to know about the swimming pool

Pool rules

For the sake of water quality*, it is important that the following pool rules are observed:

  • The pool is only accessible after a thorough soap wash WITHOUT swimwear – if you go to the toilet, it’s back to square one. Hair must also be washed with soap BEFORE bathing to remove residual dirt and hair products. If you do not wash your hair, you must use a shower cap.
  • After using the sauna, rinse off before entering the pool again – there are showers next to the sauna.
  • Children and other bathers who may struggle to “hold it”, should use a swim nappy (sold in reception).
  • If you suffer from an infectious disease, there is unfortunately no access to the pool.
  • Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Larger groups of young people must have a responsible leader present.
  • No diving or “bombs” and no ball games.
  • There is no lifeguard. Swimming is done so at your own risk.

* The water quality is measured 3 times a day, and if the numbers are measured higher than allowed according to rules from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, the pool will be closed until the water quality is restored.

Other useful info before your visit

  • Check the swimming pool opening hours.
  • There are regular swimming classes that use the pool during its opening hours. The pool is still open to other guests, but the pool may be busy. Contact the reception to find out when there are swimming classes.
  • Saturdays from 2-5 pm are reserved for resident guestsIn the event of high guest numbers at other times, we reserve the right to refuse visitors who are not staying at the holiday center.
  • For particularly vulnerable guests and/or groups of 10 people or more, please contact us prior to visiting.
