Good to know, as a guest at Feriecenter Slettestrand

On this page you can find a range of practical information that’s nice to know ahead of your visit – whether you’re here for a day or longer, business or pleasure.

Arrivals & departures at Feriecenter Slettestrand

Check-in: 15:00
Check-out: 11:00

Please contact reception, if you are arriving later than 18:00.

You have free access to the holiday centre´s facilities all day on both your arrival and departure days. So you are very welcome to plan your arrival in Slettestrand before check-in opens, and hang around after you have checked out of your accommodation.

Your holiday home

Upon arrival, you will find the following in your accommodation:

  • 1 paper towel
  • 2 rolls of toilet paper
  • 1 dishcloth
  • 1 tea towel
  • 3 dishwasher tabs
  • Washing-up liquid

Additional dishwasher tabs, toilet roll, etc. are sold in reception.

Linen

  • Linen packages with a bedsheet, duvet cover and pillow cover, a hand towel and a bath towel can be rented for DKK 90/person.
  • Certain stays include linen packages – check your booking confirmation or contact us, if you’re in doubt.

Electricity

  • Prepaid electricity is always included in the price of your holiday home.

Smoking

  • All holiday homes are non-smoking.
  • Smoking in the units is subject to an extra cleaning fee of DKK 1,500/unit.

Extra equipment

  • Weekend beds, high chairs and many assistive devices can be borrowed free of charge for use in your holiday home. Pre-booking is required.

Final cleaning

  • Final cleaning is included in the price of your holiday home and is carried out by the holiday center.
  • Dishwashing and tidying up is not included and is your responsibility prior to departure.

Pets

We love dogs and other pets – please bring them to Slettestrand 🙂 However, for the sake of our other guests, the following rules apply when staying with a pet:

  • Pets are not allowed on the furniture and beds in your holiday home, or in the buffet areas of the restaurant.
  • We charge a fee of DKK 300-450 per unit for extra cleaning.
  • If furniture and/or beds have been occupied by pets, additional fees will be charged for cleaning and replacement of furniture that cannot be cleaned properly.
  • It is important that you inform us when booking if you are bringing pets on your holiday – we have few allergy-friendly apartments where pets are not allowed.

Shopping & groceries

At Feriecenter Slettestrand you can buy snacks, sweets, ice cream, souvenirs etc. in the reception. You can also order fresh bread for breakfast in the restaurant.

The closest places for grocery shopping are:

  • Hjortdal Købmand: Hjortdalvej 142, 9690 Fjerritslev (1.9km from Slettestrand)
  • Dagli`Brugsen in Tranum: Tranhøj 4, 9460 Brovst (8.4km)
  • In Fjerritslev, about 10km from Fjerritslev, you’ll find a good selection of supermarkets and a number of very interesting specialty shops.

EV charging stations

The holiday centre has two Clever charging stations for electric cars – both located in the car park by the swimming pool. Please bring your own cable (Type 2 plug, AC 11-22kW).

Charging is settled with Clever:

  • If you already have a Clever subscription, you can charge using your tag or the Clever app.
  • If you don’t have a Clever subscription, you can pay via Clever’s website.

Please note: Charging is only allowed from the official Clever stations.
Private charging using “granny chargers” (standard domestic plugs) is not permitted, as our electrical installations are not approved for this use.

Lost property

Inquiries regarding lost property should be sent to reception on tel. +45 9821 7044 or mail@slettestrand.dk with a detailed description of the item and where in the holiday center it is expected to be found.

We spend a lot of time finding and returning lost items – time that could otherwise be spent serving our guests and giving them a great holiday experience. We therefore encourage all guests to do a thorough check of the holiday home before departure – remember to check all the drawers/cupboards, under the furniture and in the sockets!

Procedure for returning lost property

If we find your lost item, we offer the following options for returning it:

  • Order your parcel label yourself from Postnord, GLS or DAO and email it to us at mail@slettestrand.dk. We will pack and ship it: DKK 50 processing fee.
  • We create a label, pack and send it with GLS or DAO: DKK 150* incl. label and processing fee.

* Price applies to shipments within Denmark.

Lost and found items are stored for 30 days, after which they are handed in to the local lost property office. Unfortunately, we are unable to store lost items for longer periods of time.
