Terms and Conditions for Feriecenter Slettestrand A/S

Prices and VAT

All prices at Feriecenter Slettestrand are stated in DKK and include VAT.

Exceptions are experiences that, due to their nature and content, are exempt from VAT according to Danish VAT regulations.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, an invoice for the full amount (100%) will be sent for payment prior to the stay.
For online bookings, the full amount (100%), including any add-ons, is paid at the time of booking. Payment is made by credit card or MobilePay via DIBS (Dansk Internet Betalingsservice), approved by PBS, or via Stripe.

Gift cards

Our gift cards are value cards that can be used as payment for accommodation and/or experiences at Feriecenter Slettestrand.

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and cannot be extended.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash but may be exchanged for another product of the same value that we offer.
  • Gift cards cannot be used for services offered by external partners that we only act as intermediaries for (e.g. horse carriage rides, treatments, mindfulness).

If you would like to use your gift card to register online for one or more activities, events, or experiences, please contact us at mail@slettestrand.dk with your gift card ID before registering. We will then send you instructions on how to use your gift card.

Booking confirmation

  • Once your booking is complete, a booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email, please first check your spam or promotions folder. If it is not there, you may contact us directly for assistance.
  • Your booking confirmation includes details about the services you have booked, including: dates, accommodation, holiday home, meals, activities, experiences and/or mountain bike rental, as well as any special agreements.
  • It is your responsibility as the customer to check that the content of your booking confirmation matches the service(s) you ordered. Should there unexpectedly be an error in your booking confirmation, it is your responsibility to contact us as soon as possible at +45 9821 7044 or mail@slettestrand.dk.

Cancellations

Accommodation

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival are subject to a fee of DKK 300 per apartment.
  • Cancellations between 30 and 2 days before arrival: 50% of the total price of the stay can be refunded.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before arrival are non-refundable.

Cancellation of activities, experiences, and rental equipment

  • Cancellations between 30 and 2 days before the start time: 50% of the price can be refunded.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the start time are non-refundable.
  • If insurance has been purchased in connection with mountain bike rental, 100% of the insurance price can be refunded until pick-up. After pick-up, the insurance cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Rebooking

In some cases, it is possible to rebook to another date or experience against an administration fee. The fee depends on the stay or experience and will be provided before the rebooking is carried out.

Your holiday accommodation

Electricity Consumption

Prepaid electricity consumption is always included in the price of your holiday apartment or house.

Smoking

All holiday apartments and houses are non-smoking. Smoking indoors will incur an additional cleaning fee of DKK 1,500 per unit.
A small outdoor pavilion in the courtyard is available for smoking.
We ask guests not to smoke on the terrace by the restaurant.

Final Cleaning

Final cleaning is carried out by the holiday centre, but does not include dishwashing and tidying up, which is the guests’ responsibility.

Pets

Pets are welcome at our site, but not on the holiday accommodation’s furniture or beds, or in the restaurant’s buffet areas.

  • A fee is charged per pet for extra cleaning in the holiday accommodation.
  • An additional fee of DKK 1,500 will be charged for cleaning and replacement of items that cannot be cleaned properly if pets have been in furniture and/or beds.
  • We have a limited number of allergy-friendly apartments where pets are not allowed. It is, therefore, important that you inform us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog.

Lost property

Lost items are stored for 30 days and then handed over to the lost property office. Unfortunately, we cannot store lost items for longer periods.

Activities, Events and Experiences

All participation in our activities and experiences is done so at your own risk. It is your responsibility as a customer to ensure you have valid accident insurance that covers the relevant activity.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. Upon arrival, you must be able to document your booking via your ticket or booking confirmation.

Weather Conditions

Safety and good conditions are our highest priority. Weather conditions may, therefore, occasionally make it impossible to carry out an experience. If this happens, the activity organiser will contact you to find a new date together.

If We Have to Cancel

Our activity organisers will, of course, do their best to carry out the experience. However, unforeseen events — such as illness, weather conditions, or similar — may force a cancellation. If this occurs, you will be contacted by phone/SMS and then by email.

If we must cancel the experience, you will be offered a free rebooking to another date or activity of equivalent value, or a full refund of the experience. If you have questions about a cancellation, you are always welcome to contact us.

Photo and Video Material

Please note that photos and/or videos of participants may be taken during our experiences and used for marketing purposes afterward. Participants are welcome to share photos/videos of themselves on their own social media, provided the photographer is credited.

If you wish to have an image or video featuring you removed from our archive, please send a copy of the image to mail@slettestrand.dk, and we will ensure it is not used in future marketing.

Mountain bike rental

Pick-up and Return

Mountain bike rentals must be picked up and returned at the times stated in the booking confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Damage

All damage, technical issues, or accidents occurring during the rental period must be reported immediately to Feriecenter Slettestrand.

The renter is liable for any damages assessed as having occurred during the rental period, including theft.
Please note that your home insurance may not cover this.

Insurance

When renting a mountain bike, insurance for minor damage incurred during the rental period is always included. The insurance covers the following:

  • Punctures
  • Broken chain
  • Defective rear derailleur
  • Damaged gear drop
  • Slightly warped wheel
  • Defective wheel
  • Broken saddle
  • Broken brake lever
  • Broken gear shifter
  • Damaged helmet

The insurance does NOT cover:

  • Stolen or lost bike (DKK 15,000)
  • Broken frame (DKK 5,000)

Please note that although we strive to ensure the accuracy of all information in our digital and printed materials, errors, omissions, or outdated content may occur. We reserve the right to correct price and printing errors on our website, social media, newsletters, and other email communications, and we reserve the right to cancel an order if there is a significant and/or obvious error. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
