About Feriecenter Slettestrand – a place built on family and community

Slettestrand Holiday Center is run by the Kronborg family – across generations. Some work here on a daily basis, others drop by for a swim, dinner or family gathering.

Community and love for the place lives in all of us. And you feel it as a guest – in the atmosphere, the presence and the informal space we create together.

A dream come true in the west wind

In 1999, John and Inger Marie took over a holiday center with changing owners and an uncertain future. Together with good friends and family, they created a place where everyone could belong – regardless of ability.

With support from the municipality and the EU, the vision became reality. Today it lives on, carried by the next generation and our shared desire for a place with meaning.

Holidays for everyone – at all stages of life

Vi tror på, at ferie skal være mulig for alle – børn, ældre, mennesker med handicap, grupper og familier i alle former. Det er en grundværdi og en praktisk tilgang til alt, vi gør.

Vores faciliteter og aktiviteter er tilgængelige og inkluderende. Rummelighed er ikke en ambition – det er en måde at være på.

A vibrant part of the local community

We are part of the life that is lived here – all year round. We support town festivals, local associations and events such as Summerfest in Slettestrand and Vesterhavs Rock. We collaborate with clubs, schools and the municipality to create life and a framework for community.

When you stay here, you take part – and we are happy to do so. The local involvement is not something next to the resort. It’s part of it.

We live right here – close to each other

Most of us live close to the holiday center here in Slettestrand. We use it ourselves – for swimming, socializing, afternoon meals and family gatherings.

It’s a natural and vibrant connection to the place. We’re not just here as hosts – we’re here as neighbors, family members and fellow human beings.

Slettestrand er omkranset af hav, klitter, skov og hede. Naturen er ikke bare kulisse – den er medspiller og en del af oplevelsen. Vi samarbejder med Naturstyrelsen om stier og vedligeholdelse og inviterer gæster og lokale til aktivt samvær i det åbne landskab.

Thank you for returning home – again and again

We are deeply grateful for the many guests who return to Slettestrand – like friends who know the way. It feels like being visited by someone who belongs.

They come because they want us. Because they feel what we like: nature, community, movement – and the special atmosphere where you can both find peace and gain new perspectives.

We understand sustainability broadly – as concern for the environment, people and local communities. We want to take responsibility and do good for those who come after us. This applies to everything from green operations to an inclusive workplace with room for diversity. This is where we develop – together and with care.
