Barn – Living room and vacation rental for 10 people at Den Gamle Smedje

The barn is a large two-storey holiday home of approximately 342 m2. It primarily serves as a common room for large groups who want a place where they can gather and enjoy both meals and cozy moments in each other’s company.

The barn is located in unique and natural surroundings on our farm “Den Gamle Smedje”, about 1.5 km from Slettestrand and 200 m from the village of Hjortdal.

Alle priser er inklusiv slut-rengøring, forudbetalt el-forbrug og fri adgang til faciliteterne. I skoleferier og helligdagsweekender, har vi faste ankomst- og afrejsedage og udlejer ferieboliger for et minimum antal overnatninger afhængigt af feriens varighed. Vi tager forbehold for fejl.

Ground floor:

Well-functioning kitchen with an industrial oven, stove and dishwasher as well as seating for around 40 people at long tables.
Two bathrooms/changing rooms
Drying room, indoor bike wash and bike repair workstations.

A wide, open staircase leads up to the 1st floor where you’ll find:

Bedroom 1 with 4 single beds.
Bedroom 2 with 6 single beds.
Large landing with sofa area, play corner and space for up to 10 extra beds on mattresses.

Outside there is an extra bike wash, a shared wild garden environment and our MTB technical track.

Perfect for MTB clubs and other large groups

The Barn is specially designed for touring mountain bike clubs and offers all the facilities needed to make your stay a fabulous mountain biking vacation – including our awesome MTB technical course, located right outside.

That said, everyone is welcome to book the Barn, whether you come as a cycling club, with a group of friends or with family.

Natural surroundings and free access to the resort’s facilities

When you stay at Den Gamle Smedje, you get the best of both worlds: Your holiday home is in a natural setting with plenty of space for peace and quiet – or MTB fun on the technical track. At the same time, you have free access to all the holiday center’s facilities just 1.5 km down the road – including the Sea Bath House, playground, fireplace lounge and restaurant.
